Ucayali

(ENG) These are my last days in Peru. I am now in Pucallpa, but tomorrow I will take a bus, which will take me to Lima. I have not yet visited the capital and will have 3 days to do so. After that I will leave the country. I have spent the last week in the Ucayali region. It is a region in the Amazon jungle. I came here because I decided to take a few days to stop and make a kind of spiritual retreat. I found a place that was quite isolated and a little bit out of the world. Pucallpa is a small town. Not very big, but still very bustling and lively. I think it is also quite touristy, but it seems that at this time of year there are not so many foreigners hanging around here. Which made me see this place in its essence. I was able to see it in its normal everyday life. And it was interesting. But I was looking for a quiet place and this is not it. So I went to the native community of San Francisco and decided to stay here 5 days to enjoy a little relaxation, rest and connect with nature...

Parque del Manu

(ENG) You won't believe it but it really exists. Just kidding, maybe many of you were already aware of it. I wasn't. It was a chance discovery, made on my first night in Cusco, looking on Google Maps. I keep telling myself that I should get at least a little more information before I leave, maybe. But then again, the information comes to me somehow. I like to think it's just what needs to come to me. In any case, when I saw the name of this park, I laughed. But then, as I walked around the city, I saw that it is really famous. And it has every reason to be. I decided to make the investment and try to visit it. At least in part. Everything is impossible. It is very big and it is a protected reserve.
