Connected By Energy

(ENG) These are my last days in Peru. I am now in Pucallpa, but tomorrow I will take a bus, which will take me to Lima. I have not yet visited the capital and will have 3 days to do so. After that I will leave the country. I have spent the last week in the Ucayali region. It is a region in the Amazon jungle. I came here because I decided to take a few days to stop and make a kind of spiritual retreat. I found a place that was quite isolated and a little bit out of the world. Pucallpa is a small town. Not very big, but still very bustling and lively. I think it is also quite touristy, but it seems that at this time of year there are not so many foreigners hanging around here. Which made me see this place in its essence. I was able to see it in its normal everyday life. And it was interesting. But I was looking for a quiet place and this is not it. So I went to the native community of San Francisco and decided to stay here 5 days to enjoy a little relaxation, rest and connect with nature...

  (ENG) This struck me as one of the most incredible places I have seen so far. The starting point is the small town, which is also pretty. It overlooks the sea and offers tourists from all over the world a chance to relax and eat good seafood. There are several resorts for those who want to stay a little longer, but also many hostels, for those like me who do what they have to do and then move on. Of course there are also very normal hotels for those who choose a middle ground.  I decided to stay here 2 nights. On the day of arrival I just wanted to walk around, relax and take a bath. It's December and it's always an experience to find a place to soak at least a little in the ocean.   (ENG) I was undecided until the last moment whether to pass through here as well. At first I had decided against it. Many people talked about it as a place to party and have fun. Indeed from that point of view it has a lot to offer. But what is really special about Ica is its desert. The very high sand dunes are visible even from the city. And they are really impressive. And that is precisely why in a short time a small town has become a city of about 500,000 inhabitants.  I personally did not expect it to be so big. As is often the case in these places, as soon as I got off the bus I was mobbed by taxi drivers and vendors of everything. I am used to it by now, and I walk away so that they can offer their services to someone else and I can get my bearings in my own time. I always look for a place as close as I can to spend the night so that I don't have to carry my duffel bag too long and at the same time I don't have to take a cab, which would sometimes cost me as much as t...

  (ENG) In this last period many things are changing. My plans and itineraries are transforming very quickly. Sometimes I get a little stressed by this. I realize it requires a lot of energy and I feel it consumes me. It is nothing serious and certainly many people feel this every day in their daily lives. There are many factors here that can determine your tomorrow and sometimes these factors have nothing to do with you. Actually, because it is my point of view, they are very much connected with me. What I mean is that I am not in control of them. I also happened to try to direct and do it the way I wanted to do it, but most of the time it didn't really go very well.
