A little bit of Uruguay

(ENG) I spent most of my time in Brazil in Rio and I am fully happy with that. I had the opportunity to fully experience here. The last few days, however, I felt that I would have liked to see even more. This country is so vast and can offer so many amazing experiences and places. The problem is that you need time and money, and at the moment I lacked both. I therefore opted for Buzios, a small peninsula a little further north. This is a place where one can relax, although the town is very lively and noisy. By my standards, which have changed quite a bit since I started this trip anyway, it is even chaotic, but I must admit that much less so than in Rio. A lot of people come here on vacation, especially from Argentina, and I fully understood why: the landscapes and beaches are really beautiful. What's more, if you go to the beach you are served and revered...of course, paying the right amount. There is, of course, also the free solution with your own beach towel, although the pla...

Brasil, Rio and the carnival

(ENG) In the end I opted for Brazil. After all, why not, it seemed like a great time to visit this country and it was so close that I could get there by bus. Then, I don't know why, since I started this trip at least a dozen people, met along the way, told me that I absolutely had to get here too. Okay, gone, but since it is also carnival, why not just go to Rio de Janeiro and see what this celebration is really like there. I don't usually watch TV, however, I think everyone has happened to see the images of this city where everything is so alive, full of color and happiness. Of course, I was curious to see if this is really the case. From Asuncion I found a direct route, which seemed perfect. The trip involved 30 hours on the transport...it ended up being 36. After 24 hours it started to seem eternal. We also made many stops, in my opinion meaningless, however, that is how it is here. By now I understood it. During the leg I had the opportunity to meet a young couple from Pa...

Paraguay it is

(ENG) I again had to make important choices these days. All my plans have changed. I used to get agitated and stressed not a little about these things. Now I don't get upset anymore. I have left Argentina. I spent a lot of time in this country that has so much to offer. Of course, I was not able to visit all its highlights. It would have taken much more time. Maybe by running more I would have succeeded. The thing is, I also don't like having to do everything in a hurry to see more things. The cocoa shaman, whom I met in Peru, had told me, "to do less is sometimes to do more." I know that is not always valid, but in this case, especially the way I am structured, I think it is true. In doing so, I was also able to unearth hidden gems that I would have surely missed otherwise. The cocoa shamaness would be proud of me now. Maybe, who knows. I might try to ask her, but it would seem a bit like that...I mean maybe she would even appreciate...or maybe she would have a big l...

The largest warerfalls in the world

(ENG) Many places that I ended up visiting on this trip were not planned. Not that I had planned much for this trip.... In any case, this is one of those places that I had no idea existed. Then, talking to the multitude of people I met in Argentina, it turned out that these waterfalls were just something to see. So, after the long and fantastic experience in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, I decided to get on a plane and come directly to IguazĂș. This is city in the far north of this country, traveling by bus again, would have taken a lot of time and money. In addition, I found a more than good offer to fly, but...with a stopover in Buenos Aires of about 24 hours. Immediately I had decided to spend them at the airport, or rather, at the 2 airports, since the arrival and departure airports were deferred. In the end I thought it over and chose to take advantage of it and explore at least a little of downtown. I will not divulge too much in telling you what it is like, partly because I spe...
